Down Syndrome Association of Roanoke

In addition to the fundamental duties of being a board member, I use my skills to assist the association in furthering their goals of providing advocacy, support, and educational opportunities to individuals with Down syndrome and their families. My focus is on the technical aspect of the website and social media presence of the association, facilitating the communication of opportunities, important events, and gatherings, as well as promoting awareness.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Application Systems Engineer

Apex Systems
  • Designed and developed a SQL Server SSIS framework based on best practices
  • Created new SSIS packages to extract data from Genesys Infomart utilizing the ETL Framework

Solutions Developer

RMG Networks
  • Wrote and maintained Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) that defined the custom solutions that would be provided
  • Created a historical data mart utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services to gather data and Microsoft Reporting Services to present web based reports to the end user
  • Utilized Microsoft SQL Server SSIS to gather data from 10 Nortel Symposiums, 3 Aspect eWFM systems, and 12 Witness Systems into a centralized Operational Data Store
  • Designed and developed a line of business administration tool to be utilized by historical and real-time reporting products. The tool allowed skillsets and teams to be mapped to lines of business
  • Developed SharePoint site utilized by Professional services organization utilizing Salesforce.com data
  • Provided on-going support for projects as sole owner and lead developer of custom solutions provided to clients

  • Gathered requirements from leadership team to produce KPI Reports from production manufacturing systems
  • Consolidated data from multiple productions systems into a centralized data mart used to produce KPI Reports

Programmer Analyst

NewBold Corporation
  • Redesigned corporate intranet utilizing ASP and MySQL creating a dynamic data driven site replacing the static site
  • Designed a Time sheet entry website for exempt and hourly office staff to be utilized to track hours worked and vacation taken. Employees were able to access reports to show available PTO and hours worked
  • Utilized Crystal Reports to develop needed MIS reports, incorporating them into the redesigned corporate intranet
  • Designed and developed a data warehouse utilizing SQL Server DTS to provide a central repository for all MIS related data

Application Programmer Analyst

Carilion Health Plans

Coordinated application design and analysis including specifications, development, training, implementation and reporting activities

  • Designed and developed client server applications used to track key metrics necessary to make informed business decisions
  • Developed database solution to track surveys completed for each provider in the physician network replacing an intensive manual process

Provided consulting services to one of the nation’s top 10 issuers of credit cards.

  • Preformed application discovery to determine project deliverables and establish target completion dates to gauge success
  • Made recommendations for future enhancements to the application to increase performance and information security

IT Developer

eConvergent, Inc.
  • Designed and developed reporting solution that combined data from Kana, Webline, Enterprise Interaction Center and Octane providing a consolidated view of agent and contact center performance
  • Key participant in discovery process, resulting in requirements necessary to successfully proceed with application development using tools such as Microsoft Access, SQL, VBA and Crystal Reports

  • Developed a multi-site historical reporting application for a large financial services company that included individual site performance reports and consolidated multi-site reports. Reporting capabilities were available by individual, team, and site
  • Performed all aspects of customer engagements, including requirements discovery, time estimates, creation of statement of work, application development, testing, and customer acceptance

Senior MIS Reporting Analyst

First Union National Bank
  • Responsible for full life cycle development of applications used to provide performance measurement reporting for line and division managers.
  • Applications developed with Microsoft Access included a historical reporting application used to combine data from 14 ACD systems and TCS (Aspect eWFM) resource management software creating derived summary records from call detail records.
  • Cultivated relationships between telephone production data, agent-scheduled data and various other contact center systems giving management the tools needed to make informed decisions.
